At the moment Djeepo can be used in all of the Netherlands. Currently we focus on Amsterdam, you will find the most storage spaces here. Djeepo is a perfect alternative for people who are looking for a more affordable, social and nearby storage location. You can store stuff right around your corner, so you don't have to move it across town or even to another city. Additionally, you help solving urban space problems.

Djeepo is a sharing economy platform where people share space. Because of increasing urbanization, space is getting scarce. Despite this shortage there is a surprising number of people with unused space. Thanks to Djeepo this space can safely be used as temporary storage. With this social solution, there is always an affordable storage space nearby. And if you have space available, you can easily earn extra income.
Djeepo is also a happy little (leap)frog who loves to make big jumps forward.
To start the verification of your account, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with "verification" in the subject line. When you went through the verification steps, the "verification" badge will become visible to potential renters.
Djeepo is a social platform where people share space. To maintain and improve our platform it’s necessary to ask a small fee from your booking. This way we can serve you in the best way possible and make sure you earn as much as possible without worries, now and in the future.
Your safety and peace of mind are of great importance. As long as you rent through Djeepo, we offer you all the safety and support in case something goes wrong. We take care of the payments, so you never have to chase a renter for your money.
It’s not very likely, but it can happen that renters leave their belongings after the storage period has ended. In that case, contact us, so we can chase the renter. In case that doesn’t work, we pick up the belongings. Never move the belongings yourself, this can lead to legal issues.
It’s possible that your space is not available anymore unexpectedly. In that case, inform your renter as soon as possible. Stick to your minimum term of notice. In case this is not possible, contact us immediately so we can solve this together.
As a host, you determine the minimum and maximum storage period. The minimum storage period can be set on one day, one week or one month. You can decide how long people can store their belongings. Make sure that you discuss this in advance, especially when you for example know that you are going to move in the near future.
The minimum term of notice is a month, but preferably longer. The longer the minimum term of notice, the more attractive your space.
There are two options for the storage period:
Option 1: Renters know the exact time that they need the space. In this case, start and end dates are set. The concerning dates are blocked on your calendar, but the dates around it remain free. This way, future renters will still see your listing. The current renter can always extend the storage period.
Option 2: Renters don’t know the exact time that they need the space. In this case you rent out the space for an unlimited period. You can always cancel a running booking without an end date, taking into account the agreed term of notice.
You always have the right to cancel a reservation. Note that canceling a reservation will have a negative impact on your listing. Potential renters will see that you canceled a reservation, it will appear in your reviews. Contact [LINK] us if you want to cancel a booking and we’ll help you out.
The chance that something goes wrong is small. Especially if you are there when renters bring or pick up their belongings. If for whatever reason something does get damaged, please contact us. Together we will solve the problem.
In many cases the renter has a contents insurance. This insurance also covers the belongings that are stored at your place. Make sure that you do things right. Like locking off your property, in case of theft there need to be signs of a break-in.
It’s possible that you have a contents insurance that also insures belongings of others in your property. In that case, you can write this in your listing. This makes your listing more attractive for people without a contents insurance. This is usually up to several thousands of Euros.
We are working on our own Djeepo insurance, which will make storing even more worry-free.
Together with the renter you check what belongings are being stored. This way you know that the renter doesn’t store unwanted goods.
You are free to determine the price of your listing yourself. The price you can ask for depends on location, type of space, sharing, access and accessibility. You can check how much other Djeepo hosts ask for their space. Or check the prices of traditional self-storage facilities near you.
• Location = Where is the space? Centrally located spaces in popular areas or more expensive than spaces in more remote areas.
• Type of Space = What type of space are you offering? A modern and well secured storage box is more expensive than an old shed in the garden.
• Sharing = Is the space shared or not? Private spaces are more expensive than shared spaces.
• Access = How often can a renter access the space during the storage period? Unlimited access is more expensive than no access in between storing and picking up.
• Accessibility = How much effort does it take to get stuff in and out of your space? An accessible space with a wide entrance is more expensive than hard to reach attic.
Be as complete and accurate as possible about the space you offer. Potential renters appreciate this. There are four basic characteristic: Type of Space, Sharing, Access and Accessibility. In addition, you can go more into detail. For example, about the specific type of space, the floor level, difficult staircases, humidity and all other details that are important to know about your space.
You can also offer extra services to possible renters, like helping unload and load. This can make your listings even more attractive.
People mainly store furniture, but also skis or roof boxes for example. Some people are looking for a parking spot for their car. It’s even possible to shortly store luggage from travelers. Actually everything can find a spot, as long as they are legal goods. Storing very valuable goods, such as jewelry, is not common.
In general, you can offer all sorts of spaces on Djeepo. From closet to warehouse and everything in between. Typically listed spaces are: storage boxes that are part of apartments, unused rooms, basements, attics and sheds. But also parking spaces, carports and garages can be offered on Djeepo. It is important that listed spaces are in solid condition. They should be free of leakage or other shortages. Preferably, it should be possible to lock the space, except for outside parking spaces of course.
As soon as you created a profile, you can create one or more listing(s) on your personal profile. Follow the steps as described there.

We take care of the payments, so you never have the hassle that comes with paying directly to a host. For example, we only pay the host ones your stuff is stored safely.
If necessary, you can always cancel a reservation. If you cancel the reservation more than 7 days before the storage period starts, your payment will be refunded. If you cancel the reservation 7 days or later before the start-date, half of the payment will be refunded. The payed fee won’t be refunded.
We understand that the person that rents the space, is not always the person that shows up at the space. That is no problem, but make sure you inform the host about who is coming so there are no surprises. The official renter remains responsible for the use of the space.
There are two options:
Option 1: You know the exact start and end-date of the storage period. In this case the start and end-date are set. Of course you can always extend this period.
Option 2: You are not sure until when you need the storage space. In this case you rent the space for indefinite time. You can stop the rent at any time, as long as you keep in mind the term of notice.
The host determines the minimum and maximum rental period. Some hosts even offer to use their space for a day.
The minimum term of notice is specified by the host, it is at least a month. If the term of notice is unclear, inquire in advance with the host.
Some spaces are shared and others are private. You determine whether you want a private or a shared space.
How often you can access your belongings depends on the conditions of the renter. There are three options:
Option 1: Full access: You have unlimited access to the storage space. The host can have additional rules, like access times.
Option 2: Negotiable access: You can always contact your host to access the space.
Option 3: No access: You can only drop off your belongings at the start of the storage period and collect them at the end. If you unexpectedly need access to your belongings, you can request your host for access. Note that in this case hosts are not obliged to approve your request.
Pretty much all contents insurances cover belongings that are stored in other people’s property. If you don’t have a contents insurance yet, we recommend you to take one. In general, these insurances are quite affordable and convenient to have. In the meantime, we are working on our own Djeepo insurance, this will make storing even more worry-free.
Djeepo is more affordable than traditional self-storage. Depending on the type of space, you easily save 50 % or more. With Djeepo you can find space nearby, even in the middle of the center! Besides, you don't bring your money to anonymous international organizations but you support your neighbors. PLUS you help saving space by making better use of existing space capacity!
Create an account and find the right space. Contact the renter and discuss possible particularities. Make a reservation, the host has 48 hours to accept your reservation request. You pay through our secure payment system.
You can find a kinds of space on Djeepo. For example: Storage rooms, basements, attics, empty rooms, closets, sheds, garages and parking spots.
Sometimes you need extra space to store your stuff. Like when you are in-between houses, have an unexpected situation, when you go abroad for a certain time for work, study, an internship, or if you simply want to have more living space in your house.
You can store all kind of things with Djeepo. No matter how big or small, just a few things or many things. Examples of things you can store: furniture, electronics, garden furniture, large tools, ski’s, roof boxes, clothes, or inheritance that doesn’t immediately finds a place.
Usually you have to pay tax on income, including income through Djeepo. You are responsible for paying applicable taxes.
You receive payments monthly, after the start of the storage period.
You are paid directly to your bank account. If you would like to be paid in another way, please contact us.
Payments go through our secured system. This way you are sure that everything goes right.
At the moment, you can use iDeal (NL) or PayPal.
To offer extra reliability, users and spaces are verified by Djeepo. Verified listings receive the “Verified” Badge.

Privacy is very important. We don’t share sensitive information with anybody. Your exact address, phone number and email address will only be shared with your renter or host, after a reservation has been confirmed. Check our Terms and Conditions for more information.
